The D2 is the beginner drum set offered by ddrum. This kit uses 9 ply mahogany shells for the drums, and light duty hardware. The D2 is currently offered in a 5 piece setup, including a matching wood snare. This drum set is geared towards the beginner player and is usually sold with a set of entry level ddrum cymbals: a 14 inch hi-hat and a 17 inch crash/ride.
