The Pearl forum series is Pearl’s line of entry level drum sets. These drum kits feature lighter duty hardware than the higher level sets and are constructed with 6ply poplar drum shells. In 2008 Pearl started to include the Integrated Suspension System Tom Mounts, already featured on Pearl’s Vision Series, in the Forum series and now they come standard. Forum drum sets are sold in either 4 or 5 piece sets and usually include a set of Pearl brand cymbals. Pearl Forum drum sets come in a variety of finishes including black, which is unique for a beginner drum set. Although the quality is not as high as the other drum sets Pearl offers, the Forum series can be a great entry level set that should supply everything a beginner needs to learn to play.
